Welcome to The Palometa Club

Situated steps from the shallow flats of Ascension Bay in Punta Allen, Mexico, the Palometa Club is an elevated version of an old school fishing lodge known as one of the most productive permit lodges on the planet.  While the permit fishing is unsurpassed, guests will have the opportunity to target bonefish, tarpon, snook, jacks and triggerfish within the massive flat system of the bay.  Palometa Club welcomes anglers with the highest quality of service, fantastic food and a truly one-of-a-kind destination experience.

Fishing Description

Ascension Bay consists of endless flats, channels and backcountry mangrove forests. Anglers will enjoy the unique 1:1 guest-to-guide ratio with local professionals who have grown up calling this backyard playground their home. A typical day of fishing will inevitably include a slow pole over vast flats, with both the angler and your keen-eyed guide searching for sickle shaped tails and nervous water created by feeding permit.  A stealthy approach and well placed crab or shrimp pattern can result in one the most exciting hookups in an angler’s fishing career.  If long wades in clear, shallow waters in search of bonefish are on your list there are endless opportunities within Ascension Bay. In addition to exploring the mangroves for snook and baby tarpon, guests are likely to encounter marauding schools of jacks, triggerfish and large barracuda.
