Fishing Description
Wade fishing for 4-12 lbs bonefish on white sand never gets old, but fly fishing on Alphonse is unequalled for the opportunity to catch a variety of coveted saltwater gamefish in the most aesthetically appealing environment in the world. Marauded by giant trevally and their bluefin, golden, yellow dot and brassy cousins, the flats of Alphonse explode with predatory pelagics interspersing schools of bonefish by the hundreds. Every day, you will have the opportunity to sight fish with fly rods ranging from an 8-weight to a 12-weight in the richest of all saltwater ecosystems.
We fish from classic flats skiffs, launching straight from the beach in front of our lodge, supported by a mothership to smooth out longer runs on windy days. The firm sand flats of the Alphonse group offer some of the finest wade fishing in the world. Miles of shallow, light bottomed flats teaming with gamefish await the Seychelles angler.
Accommodations
Our home for the week is Blue Safari Lodge, surrounded in luxury on the Alphonse beachfront. Lodging is single occupancy, while boats are shared during the week. The culinary program is over the top, featuring fresh local seafood prepared exquisitely for each meal and often served oceanside.

Travel
Make your way to Mafe, South Africa, generally via Johannesburg or Dubai. Travel from the U.S. to Mafe takes approximately 2 days. We'll spend one night at a preferred lodge in Mafe before catching our 1 hour charter flight to Alphonse. The next 7 nights will be spent in the paradise of Blue Horizon Lodge, where our needs will be exceptionally accommodated. On our 7th morning, we will return to Mafe to catch outbound flights to Johannesburg, Dubai, or other waypoints.
