Copper River Lodge offers a luxury fly fishing lodge experience in the heart of the Alaskan wilderness, highlighted by private guest cabins, gourmet meals and some of the finest rainbow trout and salmon fishing in the world.
Fishing Description
Fly fishing the Copper River, we target famous Alaska rainbows with salmon also available during certain periods of summer. Copper River Lodge utilizes 16-foot tunnel boats with 40hp engines to access local sections of the Copper, and their own float plane to fish remote waters of the Iliamna/Katmai region and outlying sections of the home river. Guests should expect 3-4 flyouts per week, depending upon weather and best fishing opportunities. Fishing hours may be customized for each guest, but we generally head out around 8:00am by boat or plane with lunch onboard expecting to return in late afternoon. Whether traveling by boat or sea plane, all of our fishing is done on foot, wading the gentle shorelines of the Copper River and tributaries to Lake Iliamna.
Anglers of every ability are welcome. The acclaimed guide staff of Copper River Lodge is extremely experienced, generous with instruction and among the friendliest and most professional in the business.
Accommodations
Each comfortable guest cabin is equipped with both a queen bed, twin bed and private bathroom. Copper River Lodge accommodates only 6 anglers, so you are guaranteed an intimate, exclusive and customized experience. The main lodge has a large deck for viewing the sunset as well as a generous indoor common space, bathroom and well-appointed kitchen. Daily meals feature a hearty breakfast at 7:00am and a gourmet dinner in the evening.

Travel
Guests should travel to and from Anchorage, then utilize ILIAMNA AIR TAXI for the charter flight to Copper River Lodge. Flights depart from Anchorage to Iliamna on Sundays at 3:00pm. The return flight from Iliamna to Anchorage will be on Saturdays at 3:00pm, arriving Anchorage at 4:00pm.

What is included?

What is not included?
Airfare and travel costs to and from Iliamna, alcohol, gratuities, rental equipment, lodging in Anchorage (if required), travel insurance. Alcoholic beverages are not sold at the lodge and must be ordered in advance for your group.
